3. Quotes and Pricing
All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to 5% GST. Quotes provided via our website or phone are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary based on actual move time, distance, weight, access conditions, or additional services requested.
- Minimum booking: 2 hours for all local moves.
- Hourly billing: Time begins when the crew departs from our location and ends upon return. Travel time to and from the job site is billed at the standard hourly rate.
- Long distance moves: Priced as flat-rate based on destination and inventory. Any scope changes after confirmation may result in adjusted pricing.
- No hidden fees: We do not charge fuel surcharges, stair fees, or elevator fees unless disclosed in advance.
4. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed upon verbal or written agreement between BOSS Moving and the Customer. We recommend confirming your booking in writing via email. We will send a confirmation with your move date, time, crew size, and estimated cost.
BOSS Moving will make every effort to arrive within the agreed time window. Delays due to traffic, weather, or prior job overruns will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation fee. Full credit or refund if a deposit was paid.
- 24–48 hours notice: A cancellation fee of $100 may apply.
- Less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee equal to 2 hours of the booked rate may be charged.
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: Full minimum charge (2 hours) applies.
Rescheduling is available at no charge with at least 48 hours notice, subject to availability.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and safe move, the Customer agrees to:

- Ensure adequate parking and access for the moving truck at both origin and destination
- Secure or remove any fragile items from furniture drawers prior to the move
- Be present or have an authorized representative present throughout the move

BOSS Moving carries $2,000,000 general liability insurance and is fully WorkSafeBC compliant. We take exceptional care with all items; however, the following limitations apply:
- Pre-existing damage: BOSS Moving is not liable for damage to items that were already damaged, poorly assembled, or structurally compromised prior to the move.
- Packed boxes: BOSS Moving is not liable for damage to contents inside boxes packed by the Customer unless our crew packed those boxes.
- Claim timeline: Any damage claims must be reported to us within 48 hours of move completion. Claims submitted after this period may not be honoured.

BOSS Moving's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the move in question.
9. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, e-Transfer, and major credit cards. A receipt will be issued upon payment.
For long-distance moves, a deposit may be required at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable if the Customer cancels with less than 48 hours notice.
